A Barefoot journey

Welcome to my flower/garden/floristry world.

This will be the ramblings (with a few tips and tricks tossed in along the way) of Jen - The Barefoot Florist NZ.

Who started a floristy business after 35 years with Air New Zealand!

Hey there, my name is Jen and I life on the Kapiti coast, at the bottom of the world in New Zealand. The video above is from Barefoot in NZ - my YouTube attempt. People seemed to like me arranging flowers and enjoyed watching the process.

This is my first blog - so be gentle.

Three years ago in 2020 I exited Air New Zealand, after 35 wonderful years! I started work on the counter - check-in , was a cabin attendant for a few years and ended my time in the operations area - coordinating the movements of the aircraft in and out of WLG (Wellington). Pretty stressful stuff.

Now the most stress I have is when the dog (14 year old english pointer - Lace) wants to be fed.

I live on a 1 hector piece of land that was just grass when we bought it in 2013. We built a fabulous house and the garden is an on going joy.

I will be sharing my journey in the garden and with flowers.

Hahaha, mucked that up a bit!

Thought I'd deleted all the prompts.
